This account was setup for the purpose of adding and promoting artists that are under rated and should get more attention. At the moment the list is quite small, but hopefully with more time it will start to grow.

So if you're bored or just want to find new artists, then check these people out. And please, if you like any of their work then please consider commenting - it supports the artist.

H O W - I T - W O R K S

Everytime a new artist is found they will be added to the journal and become a Featured Artist. Once an artist has become quite established they will be removed. The reason for this is because this account is based on featuring under rated artists only.

There are no staff members at present, but as this account starts to grow I'll be looking into getting some help. At the moment there is only one person responsible for maintaining this account and that is the founder.

dakphoenix is another great 3D modeler. There's always a great amount of quality to his work as well as some fine details, textures etc. Not to mention the scenes he creates are very well setup. He's especially good at scenes with guns and rooms. One look through his gallery and you'll understand why he's featured.

I was browsing through the galleries when I suddenly came across chrisk. I was pretty impressed by one of his deviations so I decided to check out his gallery. After looking through it, I immediately knew I had to add him to my devwatch. He does some great 3d modeling of scenes that I can only describe as having a great amount of atmosphere to them - "Mausoleum" is a perfect example of just that. So if you're into that sort of thing, then you'll love his work.

most of mode2's latest work have been some very nice photo manipulations. But looking further back in his gallery, there are also some very lovely abstract works. His abstract works have a nice and delicate kind of flow to them with great blends of colours to compliment the designs.

His scenic shots are quite well composed and have some lovely tones which help to create a tranquil atmosphere, giving them that surreal like quality that they have. Shoreline2 is a good example.

dedpixhl has a small, but nevertheless nice gallery. Most of his earlier work is of scenery while 2 of his latest : Bang & Bang - Up Close and Personal are on the abstract side. Those two shots show that dedpixhl has a good eye for turning something simple into something quite interesting.

You'll find some nice general macro shots in rdd's gallery. But I think his nature macro shots, especially of the insect variety, are some of his best works that have good details to them. I admire the patience he must have to capture insects doing what they do.

the first deviation I came across was Russian Fortress. As soon as I got done viewing that I immediately visted his gallery. reisei-tenkou has a small, but a great gallery that is growing bit by bit. He takes some wonderful sunset shots that certainly don't lack in composition and intense colours. A lovely gallery for someone that is so new to the community.

It won't take you too long while browsing through monitwin's gallery, to realize this artist has some serious skills. Most of the work she does is portraits, portraits that have great details to them and a real photo realistic quality. Definitely an artist to check out.

jocarra is best described as a very versatile artist. From sketches, to oil paintings, anthro and the use of prismacolour markers. Her sketches have a really nice amount of details to them. Most of what I have seen in her gallery is on the fantasy side. My favourite pieces : Wolf Moon, Vallejo Study, Jayli - A tripartital portrait

neily does some of the best windows icons I have seen around here. There's always a nice, smooth and colourful quality to them. Icons that would suit most people's tastes and desktop themes. It's such a shame to see tons of people downloading them, but not thinking twice about giving a comment. If you don't know his work already then check him out.
